We're Emma and Megan, the women behind the scenes of Oak and Olive Handmade. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, we are two sisters with one mission: the cleanest ingredients designed with you in mind and to glorify God one bar of soap at a time.  You'll often find us--with our eight unique children--homeschooling and making every product you see on our site. We grew up with commercial brands. We reached for the products we knew when we became pregnant with our first little ones. We quickly realized, we wanted better for our babies. We wanted better for ourselves.

It would happen again and again, small companies we loved would sell out, change their ingredient lists to something we could no longer use; something we no longer wanted to use. I used to joke about starting our own line so it would no longer be a possibility. The more we researched, the less we wanted in our products. 

 

It began in the kitchen; making our own soap with the best oils and natural additives we could find. What once was started for our very own little ones, quickly became popular among our friends and family. In no time we knew we had something we wanted to share with the world.

Nothing here is done without prayer. If we don't gain you as a customer, we would appreciate your prayers for this adventure. All of our soap labels are adorned with John 3:16, we try to make a habit of praying over our products and we hope to find some way to bring glory to God in and out of our small business.​
